Lots of lawyers like to call themselves “litigators.” To many of them, “litigation” means throwing lots of paper at the other side, but very rarely actually going to trial. We are Trial Lawyers. In fact, our firm is often hired by other attorneys from around the nation to assist them in trying a case. We believe that when a client’s attorney is afraid of the courtroom - the client is less likely to get justice.

Our practice focuses on the trial of most every kind of lawsuit, though we have particular experience in personal injury, employment, civil rights, products liability, medical negligence, business disputes and criminal matters.

Rafe, Kern and Susan were all trained by legendary Trial Lawyer Gerry Spence at his Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming.  Rafe and Susan now volunteer to serve on its staff.

Rafe, Kern and Susan are each Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Rafe is Board Certified in Criminal Law; Kern is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Consumer and Commercial Law; Susan is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law.

Rafe, Kern and Susan have each been repeatedly voted by their peers to be recognized in the “Best Lawyers in Fort Worth” listing published in Fort Worth, Texas magazine and as “Texas Super Lawyers” in Texas Monthly magazine.

Rafe, Kern and Susan each have received the highest possible “AV” rating by other lawyers in the Martindale - Hubbell legal directory and been invited to membership in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
